Settings Changed

I've changed the settings for my comment posts. I thought I'd give this a try. As of now, ANYONE can leave a comment on my blog, even if you don't have a blog of your own or a google ID. Please remember to leave your name at the end of your post so I know you're the author.

Also, you will no longer have to type any code words before your comment posts. I'll probably keep things this way unless I get spam or inappropriate comments. So keep the comments coming, I love reading them.

you are so organized for Christmas, I'm way jealous, I have to start that process soon but school is making that impossible!! I like this new commenting format because I think sometimes I don't comment when I'm on everyones blogs because I have to type in all that info

I noticed that you changed your comment box! I do like that I don't have to put in a security code. ( I always tried to make a word out of them!) You'll have to let me know how you like it.

Yay! I bet you'll find more people will be willing to comment as they get used to this feature. You may have to have reminders for a little while...or put a little note on the side so that non-bloggers will know they can still leave a comment.

Parade

Brittany decided to join the marching band this year. She plays the marimba. The band participates in a lot of parades and marched in the River Heights parade last Saturday. I thought Maya would enjoy the parade so she and I went and watched Brittany. Since the pit section cannot march with their instruments, they hold the shields and march in front of the rest of the band. Brittany is the last on on the right, holding the "T".

New House

We are building a new house!  This project has been in the works for a long time and we chose to keep it a secret until "Dig Day" because of how frustrating the process has been.  We began this adventure in February 2013 when we found the "lot of our dreams".  This piece of land was perfect.  Perfect location (in Providence), perfect size (0.96 acre), perfect orientation (house will face west).   The development process was long and difficult.  Providence City is not easy to work with.  Their requirements are extensive and often times ridiculous and unnecessary.  We've jumped through all kinds of hoops to get to where we are. We are building with Mt. Sterling Custom Homes.  They have a great reputation for designing and building high quality homes.  I had found a house plan that I really liked, had done some tweaking myself, then took it in to Mt.
