I Am Thankful For....

I failed to post my "Thankful" list last week during the Thanksgiving holiday so I figure, better late than never.

I imagine this year's list is very similar to last year's. Seems the important things in life are pretty constant.

I am thankful for (in no particular order):
1. My family.

2. My home.

3. Good health and a body that functions as it should.

4. My job. I have the best job in the world; I GET (I don't "have" to, I "GET" to) to stay home with my kids and run my household.

5. A supportive and loving and patient husband.

6. Financial security.

7. Electricity, heat, and indoor plumbing.

8. Technology.

9. The Gospel and my membership in the church.

10. Priesthood blessings.

11. My Testimony.

12. My life.

Happy Thanksgiving!...a few days late.

Great Thank-ful list and your right the most important things should be a repeat of thankfullnes.. can you imagine if they weren't?? .. I'm behind on mine too,so don't feel too bad.

Parade

Brittany decided to join the marching band this year. She plays the marimba. The band participates in a lot of parades and marched in the River Heights parade last Saturday. I thought Maya would enjoy the parade so she and I went and watched Brittany. Since the pit section cannot march with their instruments, they hold the shields and march in front of the rest of the band. Brittany is the last on on the right, holding the "T".

New House

We are building a new house!  This project has been in the works for a long time and we chose to keep it a secret until "Dig Day" because of how frustrating the process has been.  We began this adventure in February 2013 when we found the "lot of our dreams".  This piece of land was perfect.  Perfect location (in Providence), perfect size (0.96 acre), perfect orientation (house will face west).   The development process was long and difficult.  Providence City is not easy to work with.  Their requirements are extensive and often times ridiculous and unnecessary.  We've jumped through all kinds of hoops to get to where we are. We are building with Mt. Sterling Custom Homes.  They have a great reputation for designing and building high quality homes.  I had found a house plan that I really liked, had done some tweaking myself, then took it in to Mt.
