The Case of the Missing Cinnamon Roll

Damon has been asking for cinnamon rolls lately so I finally got around to making some today. He came home school and asked if they were done yet and I said almost, they still had to go in the oven. I also made regular rolls and bread today. Damon asked if he could have "one of these other rolls". I was distracted and, thinking he meant one of the regular ones, told him yes without looking to see what he meant. A few minutes later the oven was ready for the cinnamon rolls and when I went to put them in I noticed one missing. I asked Damon if he ate it and he said, "Yes, you said I could have one." I told him they hadn't been baked yet and he giggled and said, "Oh!" He thought it was good and didn't even notice it was still dough.

Parade

Brittany decided to join the marching band this year. She plays the marimba. The band participates in a lot of parades and marched in the River Heights parade last Saturday. I thought Maya would enjoy the parade so she and I went and watched Brittany. Since the pit section cannot march with their instruments, they hold the shields and march in front of the rest of the band. Brittany is the last on on the right, holding the "T".

New House

We are building a new house!  This project has been in the works for a long time and we chose to keep it a secret until "Dig Day" because of how frustrating the process has been.  We began this adventure in February 2013 when we found the "lot of our dreams".  This piece of land was perfect.  Perfect location (in Providence), perfect size (0.96 acre), perfect orientation (house will face west).   The development process was long and difficult.  Providence City is not easy to work with.  Their requirements are extensive and often times ridiculous and unnecessary.  We've jumped through all kinds of hoops to get to where we are. We are building with Mt. Sterling Custom Homes.  They have a great reputation for designing and building high quality homes.  I had found a house plan that I really liked, had done some tweaking myself, then took it in to Mt.
