Welcome Home!

We brought Maya home this afternoon. Her siblings can't seem to get enough of her, especially Damon. There will be no shortage of help for the next little while. Brooklyn is keeping track of how many turns everyone has had to hold Maya, wants to make sure all is fair. Ellie has been curious but seems to sense she needs to keep her distance from the baby.

Maya is doing well. She's had a little trouble with her blood sugar dropping but that issue should resolve itself in a day or two.

I think you will find that 3 kids can be such a big help this time around! I hope you are getting so well derserved rest and help from everyone. I hope the bloodsugar works itself out but glad Baby Maya( love love her name!) is doing well! Love the pics too!

congrats Tami! She is so beautiful, all that hair my 8 month old doesn't even have that much! I am glad to hear everyone is doing well! Hope her blood sugar keeps up, we had the same problem with Eliza her poor little heels bled for a week after all those pricks! Hope everyone keeps doing well!

Parade

Brittany decided to join the marching band this year. She plays the marimba. The band participates in a lot of parades and marched in the River Heights parade last Saturday. I thought Maya would enjoy the parade so she and I went and watched Brittany. Since the pit section cannot march with their instruments, they hold the shields and march in front of the rest of the band. Brittany is the last on on the right, holding the "T".

New House

We are building a new house!  This project has been in the works for a long time and we chose to keep it a secret until "Dig Day" because of how frustrating the process has been.  We began this adventure in February 2013 when we found the "lot of our dreams".  This piece of land was perfect.  Perfect location (in Providence), perfect size (0.96 acre), perfect orientation (house will face west).   The development process was long and difficult.  Providence City is not easy to work with.  Their requirements are extensive and often times ridiculous and unnecessary.  We've jumped through all kinds of hoops to get to where we are. We are building with Mt. Sterling Custom Homes.  They have a great reputation for designing and building high quality homes.  I had found a house plan that I really liked, had done some tweaking myself, then took it in to Mt.
