1st Week

Last night I told Brent I was pretty sure we'd taken more pictures of Maya during her first week than we did of all the other kids combined. I uploaded 75 pictures of Maya from my camera to my laptop this morning. That doesn't even include all the pictures Brent took on his phone.

She is so adorable! Yay for digital and blogs! now it will be the other way around now our oldest will wonder why we didn't blog about every thing they did picuters and all! ha!

I hope YOU are adjusting back to having a baby and your body is recovering okay! I am trying to figure out who she looks like. Brooky maybe? And are her eyes brown?

She probably looks the most like Brooky but I think she's actually a mix of all three. Can't tell for sure what color her eyes are. Sometimes they look blue and other times I think they're gonna be brown.

Parade

Brittany decided to join the marching band this year. She plays the marimba. The band participates in a lot of parades and marched in the River Heights parade last Saturday. I thought Maya would enjoy the parade so she and I went and watched Brittany. Since the pit section cannot march with their instruments, they hold the shields and march in front of the rest of the band. Brittany is the last on on the right, holding the "T".

New House

We are building a new house!  This project has been in the works for a long time and we chose to keep it a secret until "Dig Day" because of how frustrating the process has been.  We began this adventure in February 2013 when we found the "lot of our dreams".  This piece of land was perfect.  Perfect location (in Providence), perfect size (0.96 acre), perfect orientation (house will face west).   The development process was long and difficult.  Providence City is not easy to work with.  Their requirements are extensive and often times ridiculous and unnecessary.  We've jumped through all kinds of hoops to get to where we are. We are building with Mt. Sterling Custom Homes.  They have a great reputation for designing and building high quality homes.  I had found a house plan that I really liked, had done some tweaking myself, then took it in to Mt.
